There is a lack of mobility devices for People with Lower-Limb Paralysis that:
A. Enable a high level of mobility in terms of measurable performance,
B. And that develop complex motor and balancing skills,
C. While also being fun to use.
The GoBOT will be a smart electric motorized self-balancing two-wheel platform (SAMD) that has been specially designed to provide mobility options to People with Lower-Limb Paralysis.
Through the use of accessory devices, the GoBOT can be transformed into multiple modes to navigate specific types of terrain by a wide variety of PWLLP from fulltime wheelchair-users to ambulators to children.
WHAT ARE SAMDs?
